Russia’s Losses During the Invasion of Ukraine: Shocking Data Revealed by the UK Defense Minister
James Heappey, the Defense Minister of the United Kingdom, disclosed astonishing figures on Wednesday regarding the losses suffered by Russia since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. According to information provided by the British Ministry of Defense, approximately 220,000 Russian soldiers have been injured or killed. Heappey’s words were cited by the Ukrainian publication “Ukrainian Truth”.
In addition, as per the data conveyed by the UK Ministry of Defense, Russia’s losses in armored vehicles have now surpassed 6,200 units. These include 2,050 main battle tanks, 80 aircraft, 95 helicopters, 250 unmanned aerial vehicles, 12 warships of all classes, and over 1,000 artillery systems of various types.
“The exact number of casualties among Wagner Group mercenaries since the end of February 2023 is unknown, but it is likely that the group continued to suffer heavy losses until its forces were withdrawn from the Popasna and Bachmut areas at the end of May 2023,” added Heappey.
